A classic early green cabbage, Golden Acre won’t disappoint. Grey-green heads average 3–8 lbs in Alaskan summer, growing on short stems with white interiors. Sparse wrapper leaves and a medium-sized core keep plants compact. Enjoy the light sweet flavor in coleslaw or cooked in soups. Usually our first to mature on the farm, about a week earlier than Early Jersey Wakefield, but if planted later for fall harvest, Golden Acre will hold as a good storage variety. Holds well in the field and we've managed a nearly two week harvest window in a cool summer.
