Brassica oleracea
100 seeds
Maturity: 75 days from transplant
Certified organic seed grown by Woodgrain Farm in the Kispiox Valley of northwest British Columbia.
Bred by Frank Morton, Purple Peacock comes from crosses between ‘Green Goliath’ broccoli and two kales. Green buds, toothy pink-veined leaves, and sweet purple stems make the large plants a beautiful garden addition. Young leaves are salad ready and mature leaves can be eaten like kale. Long floret stems erupt first as loose heads of broccoli, followed by side shoots. Part of the Open Source Seed Initiative.
Dedicated to the Open Source Seed Initiative to keep seeds in the public commons.
