Rucola selvatica
300 seeds
Maturity: 45 days
A wild arugula, Sylvetta is a cold-loving green that will keep your garden full. Smaller, more deeply lobed leaves have a slightly sharper peppery flavor and grow small for easy baby greens. Multiple cuttings can be had from each seeding but flavor will intensify each time.
FROM THE FARMERS
Sylvetta grows much slower than Classic Arugula but is also much slower to bolt. It tolerates extreme heat and cold, being one of the first crops planted, last one out, and can still survive midsummer heat. We have had a lot of success perennializing Sylvetta and even if the roots don't overwinter, it self-seeds readily. Great crop to establish in permaculture and home garden systems.
