Frontiersman Sourdough was started in Anchorage to share Alaska’s rich history of sourdough with the world by making the craft easily accessible to everyone. They donate a portion of their proceeds every year towards conserving Alaska’s wild natural environment.
Commonly referred to by its french name ‘lame’ meaning ‘blade’ this beautiful little handmade scoring tool provides a safe and secure hold for your bread decoration endeavors. Every loaf of artisanal sourdough bread must be cut or ‘scored’ before going in the oven. This score allows for the loaf to rapidly rise in the oven, expanding at the cut where intended. The small sleek design is compact, comfortable, and offers great control for detailed scoring artwork. We prefer it greatly to the long handled ones. Scoring tool contains a double edged razor blade.
