Alaska Pure Sea Salt is made in Sitka, Alaska by Jim and Darcy Michener In 2007, they proudly produced North America’s first flake sea salt using only water from Sitka Sound with no additives or added chemicals.
The Sitka Spruce tree is native to the Coastal Rainforest of the Northwest. For generations the tips have been used as a natural ingredient in syrup, jam, beer and now sea salt. This Sitka Spruce Tip Sea Salt is made by infusing the hand picked, bright green spring Spruce tips into light salt flakes. Nothing else is added. With a distinct citrus and herbal flavor, it pairs well with seafood, chicken, pork, beef, vegetables and even popcorn.
