Artemisia absinthium
100 seeds
Maturity: 90 days from transplant

Grown by Winnower Farm in Dry Creek Valley, Idaho.

Traditionally used to make absinthe and other spirits, Wormwood Absinthium is a cold hardy and very pretty aromatic plant. Soft silvery fern leaves grown on strong woody stems reaching upwards of 3' tall that look lovely in flower beds and borders. Said to repel animals, Wormwood can also be used as a homemade organic pest control. The bitter herb is most often used medicinally in teas and tinctures but is potent and should be handled with care. We started growing it for the local distillery and fell in love with the attractive evergreen bushes that we use mostly in bouquets. Perennial down to zone 4 and can self-seed readily.

Wormwood is a designated noxious weed in some states/counties. We cannot ship this seed if you live in Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, in Converse, Teton, and Washakie counties in Wyoming, and in Carbon, Flathead and Meagher counties in Montana.
