Tuli Fisher is the maker behind Fisher Blacksmithing in Bozeman, Montana. All his tools are made using traditional blacksmithing techniques and shaped by hand. They are heirloom quality and if well maintained, can be passed down for generations. A product of fine American craftsmanship.
This Garden Hoe is Tuli's mom's favorite: “I find this tool extremely versatile. You can use it to break up the soil, dig holes for transplanting, and weed around both flowers and vegetables. The pointed end of the hoe head is also great for drawing out rows for seedings.”
Tuli's tools are a true example of fine American craftsmanship. Each piece is meticulously crafted and built individually using traditional blacksmithing techniques. High carbon steel is heated in his forge, then shaped over the anvil by hand. All the joinery is completed using solid steel rivets. It is then set into a hand-turned solid American Black Walnut handle without welds. The tight grain of this strong hardwood makes it extremely durable and sits comfortably in your hand for long use. An exceptional tool that feels good and will stand the test of time.
Handmade tools have more weight to them than you may be accustomed to which is what makes them so durable. They require care to maintain their lifespan and should be stored out of the elements and maintained regularly. We recommend using this oil and sharpener to keep them in good condition.
