Nutscene patented the first "Pull from Centre" spool of green garden twine in 1922, which was "Not Seen" hence the name Nutscene (with a Scottish accent). Their twine is produced in the same small factory in Angus, Scotland on the original US built machinery. No plastic in any of their products and they have an all female workforce.
Ok, so when we use garden twine we end up looking like one of those exaggerated "as seen on TV" ads where someone has somehow created an entire spiderweb around themselves and 4,000 knots along the way. Twine in a tin was made for us. It keeps everything tangle-free and dry. We use it to trellis legumes, mark beds, wrap presents, hold up raspberries, bundle drip tape, play cat's cradle, string tomatoes, and stake everything.
We picked the colors we thought were the most fun. If you like them, perhaps we will pick up some more. Garden twine but make it cute.
