Canaan Palestine partners with over 2,400 traditional family farms across 52 villages in the West Bank, headquartered in Burqin, Jenin. They are committed to year-round engagement and long-term relationships, ensuring transparency, direct payments, and fair prices. Many of their trees date to 1,000-2,000 years old, preserving deep culture and tradition for Palestinian farmers. Their products are Regenerative Organic, Fair Trade, and USDA Organic certified.
Canaan Palestine's garlic olive oil is created by pressing ancient landrace Souri olives with fresh savory garlic. Not infused, pressed. Many surri olive trees are 1,000 to 2,000 years old, a testimony to the resilience of the trees and the sustainable agricultural traditions that ensure nutrient-dense and beautifully flavored oil. This extremely special olive oil is only prepared once a year during the harvest. We love dipping fresh baked bread in it and it is particularly lovely as a finishing oil after your roast comes out of the oven.
FROM THE MAKERS
The ancient farmlands of Palestine are vibrant ecosystems teeming with biodiversity and heirloom varieties, passed down for generations and carefully propagated to preserve their legacy. Many olive trees, over 1,000 years old, stand as living testaments to this heritage. Canaan Palestine celebrates and promotes these time-honored permaculture traditions, fostering regenerative practices that nurture healthy soil, plants, animals, and microorganisms. By honoring these farms, they safeguard historic landscapes and rich, seasonal cuisine, ensuring food security, economic prosperity, and cultural integrity in harmony with nature.
They weave Fair Trade principles and Regenerative Organic practices into a value chain of small family farms across Palestine. Canaan Palestine has crafted a living system where agriculture becomes a bridge, offering the world not just sustenance, but a model of harmony, resilience, and hope.
