Solanum lycopersicum
25 seeds
Maturity: 80 days from transplant
Determinate

Certified organic seed grown by Affinity Farm in Moscow, Idaho.

Originally a Heinz variety, Montana grower Doug Beaty bred out this beautiful paste tomato over the course of 20 years. This strain has been selected for early maturity and compact plants. Deep red Roma-style oblong 3" fruit are thick, meaty, and heavy. Bushy 2-3.5' plants require support and good air flow to prevent disease.

FROM THE FARMERS

A PASTE TOMATO! IN THE NORTH! Can we just stop there?

Ok, this was definitely not our most prolific but is hands-down the heaviest, meatiest tomato we have successfully grown. Yes friends, it also tastes great. Our plants turned into an absolute jungle and struggled with end of season moisture. We recommend staking them, wide spacing, and possibly some delicate pruning to keep the rot/blight away. We have only trialed this one season in the wet summer of 2022 so let us know what you think and how it does in your corner of the north. Your sauce dreams have come true.
