Calendula officinalis
50 seeds
Maturity: 55 days from transplant

Certified organic seed grown by Feral Farm in Jacksonville, Oregon.

Named for its extra sticky blooms, Resina was bred by herbalist farmers at Pacific Botanicals to have the highest concentration of resin for extra potent medicinal uses. Yellow and sometimes orange daily-like single blooms grow on strong straight stems. Petals are edible and used culinarily but this strain shines best in herbal tea and skincare applications. Excellent pollinator attractor.

Flower seeds tend to have lower germination rates than vegetable seeds, please plan accordingly.

FROM THE FARMERS

We trialed this variety for the first time in the wet summer of 2022 and were very impressed. If kept deadheaded, these blooms will keep coming and coming and coming. Resina kept blooming straight through the fall rains up until the snow finally did them in... mostly by smooshing them. The harvest is super sticky as described and the flowers are simpler aesthetically than Pacific Beauty with mostly single yellow blooms and some orange thrown in. We dried all of ours for homegrown calming tea and to use in our bath soak and salve

Note: Our trial was sourced from Adaptive Seed (photographed) but we are selling seed sourced from Feral Farm which is mostly yellow blooms, closer to the originally bred strain.
