Dating back to the 1860’s, Blue Scotch Curled is a Vates strain of Scottish heirloom kale prized for its mild flavor. This early dwarf variety has attractive blue-green leaves with curled edges that are slow to yellow even in cold temperatures. Compact plants are 12-15" high and 20-30" wide and so they do well in windy gardens or for container planting. Very frost hardy with good overwintering potential. Makes exceptional kale chips.
