Allium fistulosum
100 seeds
Maturity: 60 days
A Japanese heirloom bunching onion that can be continuously sown for summer scallions. Long tender stalks have a delicious fresh flavor and can be used raw, cooked, or as a garnish. Handles cool temperatures well and is a staple at market. Can perennialize and be used as an early spring onion but we've found the stalks get large and fibrous over time. Excellent long harvest window of up to three weeks
Seeds are soft and won't keep for more than one season. We refresh our stock annually.
